Great interest at CeBITReven.ge's Hardware Cluster solutions have drawn much interest at the CeBIT fair in Hannover, as documented effectively by Tom Henderson, Managing Director of ExtremeLabs, Inc.:
The Italian Pavilion had something that drew my attention, then stunned me.
An organization demonstrated a blade server (nothing new) with storage frame (also nothing new) and a fully redundant chassis for the blade server (a 2N configuration for those that understand high availability constructions). So far, nothing new. Then I was floored: this company, Revenge.it, puts 240 cores in each chassis on their blades, making the entire stack just 15U tall! This is one of the densest 'cans' I've ever seen! Ten years ago, this stack standing barely a foot and a half tall, replaces the functionality of a warehouse of servers of the old variety; imagine 480 old free-standing HP, IBM, or Dell servers; this replaces them. Each blade has its own power supply, which is even more astounding (and redundant for those that care).
Fabulous. Ingenious. And apparently, sold heavily to NATO.
CeBIT fair in Hannover
Reven.ge ha attended the CeBIT fair in Hannover, with the endorsment of Think Up di Torino.
The event has been a very important oppurtunity for us, to expose high-reliability Server Cluster and Storage solutions based AMD Opteron technology, and also to meet and discuss with our business partners. Last but not least, we have met new and active international groups that have shown great interest in Reven.ge's innovative hardware cluster technology.
The solution SUPERCLUSTER by Reven.ge, was selected by a technical committee appointed by the Minister Renato Brunetta and Commissioner General of Italy for Expo Shanghai Beniamino Quintieri to represent Italy within Information Technology sector, during the exhibition entitled "Italy innovators" that has taken place in Shanghai from July 24 to August 7, 2010.
After recognition from Intel in 2006 as "the most innovative solution of servers, SUPERCLUSTER today confirms a new solution, combining itself flexibility, simplicity and affordability to meet the growing demand for high reliability of infrastructure IT.
